A Consultant Vascular surgeon in a busy Tertiary Vascular Surgery department in the United Kingdom. All my clinical activity is recorded in the national vascular registry and outcomes bench marked against my peers. I have been a member of the national selection board for higher surgical (Speciality) trainees in vascular and general surgery since 2012. I have been educational supervisor and clinical supervisor to vascular and general surgical trainees in North East of England region as part of the Intercollegiate Surgical Curriculum Programme (ISCP) program. I teach in the Edinburgh University / Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh online training program both at the level of Basic Surgical Training (ESSQ and MSc programs) and at the level of Higher Surgical trainees (ChM program) as module tutor and more recently module leader. This has given me valuable insight into innovative learning methods and the use of virtual educational and training environments.
