I am the Associate Chief Medical Officer at Memorial Health, a 711-bed teaching hospital and Level 1 trauma center in Savannah, Georgia. I have over 20 years of medical experience as a board-certified pediatric surgeon, medical educator, and healthcare executive. I hold an MD, an MPH in healthcare management and an MBA at UCLA Anderson School of Management with focus on technology management and corporate governance. I currently serve on the board of UCLA Anderson Easton technology center as well as the board of our American College of Surgeon's PAC committee. As the Associate Chief Medical Officer, I lead and support the medical staff in delivering high-quality, patient-centered, and cost-effective care. I oversee the quality and patient safety agenda at the hospital and manage medical staff and physician engagement for over 1200 physicians and advanced practice providers as well as over 20 medical directorships. I oversee the Ethics and compliance department of the hospital as well as the functions of the medical staff office & Risk management. I collaborate with the hospital administration, clinical leadership, and academic partners to enhance physician wellness as well as systemwide through put and capacity optimization project that is ongoing. I also oversee graduate medical education programs across 6 specialties and 3 fellowships with over 150 residents. I also manage our contracts with our venders for some of our service lines along with our CFO. I've been serving as the interim CMO for the facility since 7/2024. I have experience and expertise in change management specifically as it pertains to adopting a new electronic health record and have overseen adoption and change to a new EHR system in my previous position.
