Biography

At University Hospitals/Case Medical Center (UH/CMC), I am a member of the Division of Surgical Oncology and the Section Head of Endocrine Surgery. At UH/CMC, we offer comprehensive surgical care of all of the endocrine organs with a team approach involving endocrinology, nuclear medicine, radiology, onocology, and surgery. I personally perform surgery on the thyroid, parathyroids, adrenals, and pancreas for both adults and children. Thyroid surgery covers: Thyroid cancer, Grave's disease and other forms of hyperthyroidism, nodular goiters, and substernal goiters. In regard to parathyroid surgery: We specialize in Minimally Invasive Parathyroidectomy (MIP) utilizing intra-operative parathyroid hormone monitoring, as well as MIRP (radioguided) parathyroidectomy for reoperative cases. Video assisted parathyroid surgery can also be utilized. Adrenal surgery is typically performed laparoscopically for all types of adrenal disorders. Pancreatic Neuroendocrine tumors are rare lesions. Patients with these types of tumors (insulinoma, gastrinoma, somatostatinoma, etc) should consider an experienced center such as ours for their care. I also have personal experience with laparoscopic pancreatic surgery. Feel free to contact us for further information.
