Biography

I have practiced surgical oncology in a wide variety of settings to include academic teaching facility, fellowship training facility and now cancer program development. Prior to arriving in Montana, I practiced at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and Roswell Park Cancer Institute, both excellent academic training facilities. My team is now starting and establishing cancer care in a previously underserved region of our country which provides new and exciting challenges. My areas of clinical focus include gastrointestinal cancers (stomach, small and large bowel, liver and pancreas). My practice team includes medical and radiation oncologists as well as a team of surgical partners who will participate in the difficult clinical situations that present to our institution. We are actively initiating and maturing surgical oncology and rural surgical training within out facility. My clinical interests include: optimizing the timing and delivery of effective chemotherapy in combination with surgery and executing safe yet complex surgical care in the setting of cancer.
