Cancer Programs Thanks Departing Site Reviewers

ACS Cancer Programs thanks the Commission on Cancer (CoC) and National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) Site Reviewers whose service will conclude at the end of 2023. These individuals have played an integral role in the accreditation process by evaluating accreditation standard compliance at hospitals across the country. Their guidance and feedback have helped cancer programs improve through research, education, and standardizing high-quality care. Their time, effort, and dedication have been vital to the missions of the CoC and the NAPBC.

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. According to the American Cancer Society Cancer Facts & Figures 2023, there will be an estimated 288,300 new cases of prostate cancer diagnosed in the US and 34,700 men will die from the disease this year.
