Cancer-Related Sessions at Clinical Congress on October 25

August 17, 2023

On October 25 at ACS Clinical Congress 2023, there will be three ACS Cancer Programs sessions running simultaneously between the times of 2:30–4:00 pm ET.

PS327: Current Guidelines and Obstacles for Extended Venous Thromboembolism Prophylaxis After Major Cancer Surgery

Presenters at this session will examine the evidence for extended venous thromboembolism  prophylaxis, current guidelines, and guideline adherence. Future directions to improve guideline concordant care will also be explored.

PS324: De‐escalation of Breast Cancer Surgery

This session will focus on current evidence supporting surgical de-escalation in breast cancer care. 

PS325: Updates in Minimally Invasive Surgery for Patients with Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Cancers

This session will review the existing technology and literature focusing on the perceived as well as actual benefits of a minimally invasive approach, tempered by the current limitations and cost concerns.
