The Bulletin of the American College of Surgeons—the College’s monthly newsmagazine—often features viewpoint articles. This article type is similar to an op-ed, offering the writer’s expertise, personal experience, reflection, and/or unique perspective on a certain topic. The thoughts and opinions expressed in the viewpoint articles are solely those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect those of the ACS.
In this section, you’ll find listed viewpoint articles that have been published in the Bulletin. Topics include artificial intelligence, women in leadership, blood deserts, healthcare sustainability, surgeon advocacy, morbidity and mortality conferences, in-person meetings, and much more.
