The deadline to submit nominations for two prestigious 2025 resident awards is June 9.

ACS Resident Award for Exemplary Teaching

This award, presented annually, is given each year in recognition of excellence in teaching by a resident and to emphasize teaching as a key area in residents’ daily lives. Candidates who show outstanding contributions to educational activities, educational publications, teaching award recipients, and provide course instruction are strongly encouraged for consideration.

Visit the ACS Resident Award for Exemplary Teaching web page for more details, including nominee qualifications.

Jameson L. Chassin, MD, FACS, Award for Professionalism in General Surgery

To recognize Jameson L. Chassin, MD, FACS, his career, and professional interests, the annual Chassin Award is being offered through the generosity of the Chassin family, contributors to the Chassin Memorial Fund, and ACS Foundation. The Chassin Award will be presented to a chief resident in general surgery who exemplifies the values of compassion, technical skill, and devotion to science and learning.

Visit the Chassin Award web page for more details, including nominee qualifications.
