Register today for Fundamentals of Oncoplastic Breast Surgery, a hands-on course for surgeons who want to incorporate oncoplastic breast surgical techniques into their practice. Surgeons will be exposed to basic oncoplastic techniques that they can perform and more complex techniques that require a team approach with a plastic surgeon.

This is a hybrid course with recorded didactic lectures to be viewed prior to attendance at the hands-on skills lab. The skills lab takes place February 18 at the University of Southern Florida Health Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation in Tampa.

The course chair is Brian J. Czerniecki, MD, FACS, chair and senior member in the Moffitt Cancer Center Department of Breast Oncology in Tampa.

Course participants will:

  • Hear the basics of measurement and marking for cosmetic outcomes
  • Perform a parallelogram mastopexy
  • Perform a crescent excision around the nipple-areola complex
  • Perform a donut mastopexy to reach any quadrant of the breast
