ACS Statements represent positions of the College ranging from clinical care, education and training, public safety, physician behavior, and health policy.

Statements are created by various groups within the College that represent the membership. These groups include the Board of Regents, Board of Governors, Advisory Councils for the surgical specialties, the Young Fellows Association, the Resident and Associate Society, and various committees across the College.

All ACS Statements are reviewed and approved by the Board of Regents and are evaluated regularly for continued relevancy.
