United Arab Emirates Chapter

The mission of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Chapter of the American College is to ensure the provision of high quality, evidence-based clinical practice, to strengthen the ethical code of practice for surgeons and to promote healthy communication protocol amongst physicians.

The Chapter aims to achieve its goals through:

a) Establishing a solid organizational structure via the standard governance guidelines of the College

b) Encouraging surgeons across UAE to gain membership

c) Educating junior surgeons and surgical residents

d) Arranging Chapter meetings to encourage positive interaction among members surrounding the means to achieve the chapter’s mission(s)

e) Holding various congresses and clinical meetings/symposia to exchange experiences and measure/monitor chapter member progress

The UAE Chapter will also serve as the active link between ACS members in the UAE and the American College of Surgeons in order to enhance chapter member’s relationships with the College.
