The Clinical Congress Session Showcase aims to highlight select panel sessions presented at Clinical Congress 2023. These sessions were hand-selected by the Clinical Congress Program Committee and will offer a fresh perspective on the most popular panel sessions at Clinical Congress.
We hope that this series will provide another avenue for participants who were unable to attend Clinical Congress 2023 to advance their surgical knowledge through live interaction with the faculty. Attendees will be able to claim CME credit after completing the coursework and course evaluation.

The difficult gallbladder remains a challenge in surgical practice. This session will explore safe and effective strategies to approach the patient with severe acute cholecystitis. In addition, the topic of cholecystectomy in the cirrhotic patient will also be explored as will techniques for managing the difficult gallbladder in a rural setting.

There is a growing gap between evidence-based practice and actual care provided to patients. This informative session is designed to bridge that gap and will be useful for any general, gastrointestinal, or acute care surgeon who treats diverticulitis.
