Course Format

The ACS Core General Surgery Review for Residents includes around 21.75 hours of online video recordings covering 64 new topics that focus on the key areas of general surgery, such as:

  • Abdomen
  • Alimentary
  • Breast and Endocrine
  • Trauma and Critical Care
  • Vascular, Infections, Wounds, and Skin Cancer
  • Perioperative Care and Palliative Care
  • Surgical Specialty and Applied Science

A complete list of all individual sessions is downloadable inside the course. The entire course and materials are conveniently available to you within a few minutes after your registration and payment are processed. The presentation sessions are self-paced and provide video lectures with numerous case-based questions and answers. Downloadable PDFs of all slides also are available. All course materials are currently online and will remain accessible through February 17, 2027. Each session is approximately 15 minutes and may be viewed in any order, at any time, as many times as needed.
