Archives Fellowship

The History and Archives Committee (HAC) of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) is continuing an exciting initiative to support research in surgical history. A $2,000 stipend will be awarded to support research in surgical history that capitalizes on the archival resources of the ACS, which includes the records of the College in Chicago and/or the Orr Collection in Omaha, Nebraska. Funds are unrestricted and can be used for travel, lodging, and other expenses associated with study in Chicago and Omaha.

The stipend is open to members of the ACS. Non-members are welcome to apply, with acceptance contingent on becoming a member of the ACS at an appropriate level (Fellow, Associate Fellow, Resident member, Medical Student member, and Affiliate member).
